HH Day #7 - Mimi Charmante

>> Wednesday, November 18, 2009

Ohhh what a beautiful mor-ning, ohhhh what a beautiful dayyy!!
Welcome to day #7 lovelies!
Today we are introducing you to a savvy photographer...

Kimberly has this amazing ability to transcend you into another world with her art.
Looking at her photography is like finding peace, summoning relaxation, and escaping the chaos for a moment.
Not only is she a talented photographer, she creates gorgeous linen pieces as well.
Her art makes gorgeous gifts for a girlfriend, family member, prints for a baby's room, or even an elegant hostess gift.
We are so lucky to have Kimberly featured here today!

Getting to know a little more about Kimberly:{Linen Necklace with Cream Ruffle Ribbon ~ $44.00}

1. My favorite holiday tradition is waking up first thing Christmas morning, going downstairs in our pajamas - just my husband and I with our four boys. After we grab our big cups of coffee and mugs of cocoa for the boys, we sit around in the living room opening stockings and gifts. We keep it very simple - not a lot of gifts but a number of thoughtful items chosen for each recipient. I love that we take turns going through our stockings and enjoy those few hours before the wonderful chaos of Christmas day with family begins!

2. I love the idea of supporting handmade as I think there is so much more value in something that someone took the time to create by hand. There is something special about knowing that you have a one of a kind piece~

{Linen Flower Headband with Orange Ribbon ~ $30.00}

3. I love the prints because lately I have been collecting prints from my favorite photographers and hanging them from a wire with clips in my work space. They totally inspire me! I love no frames - just art, hung simply.

4. When Kim was asked to describe her store in three words, she said: Inspired, textured, simplified

My favorite is the antique books with the orange/persimmon. It would look perfect in my home and hold alot of meaning. We have a persimmon tree on the back of our property, we watch the deer discover the fruit every Indian Summer and then we cut open a seed to predict the intensity of our winter in Oklahoma. This is a great giveaway from a wonderful artist! Thanks, Paula
