Joey + Aly Part III

Here are some more DIY projects from Aly's wedding (seriously it was DIY Heaven and I am just thrilled to see the pics Ellie took, because she honestly captured even the beautiful details I didn't get to see)! Under the lemonade and tea were green apples placed under small glass table tops (make sure you can get the apples pretty level before you place the glass on top), but how gorgeous is that?!
The programs and menus, which coordinated with the invitation suite, were all created by Frenchie & Flea!
The picture table was filled with framed pics of the bride and groom, as well as family pictures too! The black frames were all from the dollar store (spray painted black!).
Then we took vintage shutters from my great-grandmother's old house (which had been sitting in our garage) and painted them white and attached gingham ribbon down the center and used clothes pins to clip pictures to them.
I just loved the mossy monograms on the barn doors...they w
ere the icing on the cake (and you can make them too)!
DIY: Mossy Monograms
Carol made these to hang on the giant barn doors, and they looked AMAZING! For her full instructions, click here.
First, buy your moss...If you can, order sheet moss in bulk from a floral supplier, its cheaper than moss sheets from the craft store. Next, have printed initials enlarged (in any font from your computer) at a copy store. These are 18 inches tall...you could also print at home and "tile" the HUGE letters in your print settings and then taping the pieces together and cutting them out.
Then you trace those letters onto 1/2" thick styrofoam and cut them out. They you hot glue gun moss all over, starting on the back and moving to the side and front! It took Carol 12 glue sticks! Here is the finished product:

Finally, I would like to share some Etsy Love. I used two vendors for bridesmaid gifts and accessories and couldn't have been more pleased (so obviously I have to share them with YOU)!
She was seriously AMAZING to work with. I ordered custom necklaces for each bridesmaid in gold vermeil with a clear swarovski crystal bead. They turned out PERFECT and were a big hit!
Another to-die-for Etsy buy were...
She created wonderful silk chiffon flower clips for all 7 bridesmaids, a gorgeous white flower with a vintage brooch and feathers for Aly and then mini versions of her's for the two junior bridesmaids! Everyone loved these...and I HIGHLY recommend her for weddings!!
