Santorini, Greece from the Rambling Traveler
Happy Tuesday! So, as most of you have figured out...I am tying the knot in October! The honeymoon plans have been pushed onto the back burner, but with 4 months to go, I know I need to get on it!!! Originally we wanted to do a Mediterranean tour: Greece, Croatia & Montenegro, perhaps a smidge of Italy...but I am DEATHLY afraid of flying and am wondering if we should stay a little little closer to home: Mayan Riviera, South America, Canada...etc.
I want YOUR advice! Where have you traveled or honeymooned that you LOVED (or hated)????

My husband and I honeymooned on Coronado Island, just off of San Diego, and also spent a few days in Anaheim and LA. It was beautiful! We stayed at the Hotel Del Coronado, and just loved it! :) Good luck!
Big choices Emily!! Hmmm if you are afraid to fly then I guess my saying that I REALLY enjoyed England and the south of France probably wouldn't work...but they are AMAZING. 4 months wow that is coming up quick..good luck with all your plans, aren't planning weddings so much fun?
Oh my that is a hard one cause right about now I think it looks like a wonderful destination. We went tropical for relaxation because my husband just returned from deployment and I graduated from college and we wanted to rest after all the hustle and bustle. So my hubby made the arrangements and picked St. Lucia. We had our own bungalow and pool at the hotel complex and loved it. Good luck, whatever you pick I am sure it will be perfect,

Darling...consider yourself lucky to have such wonderful options! When I got married, we were so dirt poor that we went to Disneyland. Yes, a childs heaven, but fun for grown ups none-the-less. I can't really relate to the fear of flying, so I would be ALL OVER that trip. Good luck making your decision. What does the fiance think?? Maybe you could just take a percacet and sleep the whole flight.?
I have to say my favorite place to travel is Italy. But since a flight wont work what about a cross country train ride to NYC and the East Coast? Fall is suppossed to be beautiful there. Manhattan is amazing and there are so many options.
oh oh.. what about a cruise? An Alaskan Cruise or ... Good luck and congratulations!
Great ideas!! We've been thinking cruises, etc. I have flown to the east coast several times, and pop a few xanax and can manage...its the flying beyond the U.S. over the Atlantic (the unknown) that makes me nervous...and the 10+ hours in the air--eeeeeks! Any good cruise ideas? We were also thinking maybe the Caribbean or Mayan Riviera (Mexico)......
